The Care Group received an unexpected honour when we were identified as one of London Stock Exchange (LSE) Group's 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain 2019.
The 137-page report celebrates the UK's fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium sized businesses (SMEs), with companies representing more than 40 sectors and spanning every country and region across the UK.
To be selected for the list, businesses demonstrated not only positive revenue growth over the last three years but also outperformed their sector peers.
The Care Group was considered under the Healthcare section of the publication. An entry in the document describes the sector, "From pharmaceuticals to biotechnology, the UK Healthcare sector continues to showcase an inspiring story of growth and diversity and is a key engine of innovation."
Chris Banks, Joint CEO of GP Care Group, said: "We were surprised to be notified of our inclusion in the LSE's sixth edition of companies to inspire Britain. The publication is intended to inspire small to medium companies to grow and we were included because our annual turnover had doubled from £10m to £20m in the year ended 31 March 2018. Whilst it has never been a strategic aim to simply go for rapid growth, it was very pleasing to get this unexpected recognition."
