Tower Hamlets Together Summer Fair video

The Care Group joined representatives from local health and social care organisations on a lovely summer day in July for the annual Tower Hamlets Together (THT) summer fair at Mile End Hospital gardens.
An estimated 750 people attended the fair throughout the afternoon of Thursday 18 July. The annual fair, which began in 2019, is aimed at sharing learning and awareness of THT partner organisations’ work to other health professionals. As one of the seven THT partners, the Care Group was represented through several stalls at the venue, showing the work of some of our teams and services.
Our 0-19 children and family services, Primary Care Directorate, Urgent Treatment Centre, Patient Experience and Advocacy and Interpreting teams welcomed all the questions and interest from visitors to their stalls.
In addition to enhanced knowledge of Care Group services and how we support the local population, visitors to our stalls were gifted with goodie bags full of promotional materials like pens, mugs, notebooks etc. Fun activities included a 360-video booth and a quiz testing people’s knowledge about the Care Group, while our UTC team encouraged visitors to have a blood pressure check and advised the importance of knowing your numbers.
Care Group Chief Primary Care and Partnerships Officer Vicky Scarborough, Roberto Tamsanguan GP and THT Clinical Lead and Fiona Peskett Direct of Strategy for Barts Health had the task of judging “best stall” at the fair. Congratulations to Positive East, HIV and Sexual Health Support who won this accolade for their interactive and engaging stall.
Zainab Arian, Care Group Chief Executive Officer, said: “Once again, the THT summer fair has been a wonderful day of learning and networking with all of the wonderful organisations who have come out to exhibit their work.
Vicky Scarborough said: “It was fantastic to see such a great turnout and to have such a wealth of services on display, learning about all the brilliant work that takes place in Tower Hamlets to improve the health and wellbeing of our residents.”
Roberto Tamsanguan shared the official thanks to everyone on the THT summer fair planning committee. He said: “The fair has been running since 2019 and it has been getting bigger and better. It’s all about connecting and learning about the fantastic services that we have in our borough, to support our patients.
“I want to give a big, special thank you to everyone who worked so hard and tirelessly behind the scenes to make today’s event possible.”
