The Inspiring Muslims Next Gen Award celebrates young Muslim leaders who make significant contributions to their communities and serve as role models for future generations. The awards are in their first year and have been created by the Emerald Network and the Aziz Foundation. Zainab's dedication to improving healthcare services and promoting inclusivity in sports embodies the spirit of this award.
As CEO of Tower Hamlets GP Care Group, Zainab has led initiatives to enhance healthcare delivery, ensuring accessible and quality services for the community. Her role as a trustee of Cycle Sisters, an award-winning cycling club aimed at enabling more Muslim women to cycle, highlights her commitment to empowering Muslim women through sports. In 2021, she established the Cycle Sisters Road Club to introduce Muslim women to road cycling, leading to 80 women from the club participating in RideLondon events.
