The Care Group runs an apprenticeship scheme each year to encourage local people to gain vital skills and experience to start a career in healthcare. The scheme had 12 participants starting in January 2025, with 11 having started in 2024.
Sahifa Khatan is Reception Manager at Blithehale Medical Centre in Bethnal Green. She gained a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Leadership and Supervision late last year, giving her skills to help develop her professional career.
Sahifa said: “My apprenticeship has been an incredible opportunity for me to grow as a leader. I've gained not only technical knowledge but also the confidence to inspire and guide my team. I’m grateful for the support I’ve received from my mentors and colleagues. Apprenticeships are a great way to get your career started – I would recommend it to anyone.”
