The NHS App is a simple way for people their check your symptoms, order repeat prescriptions, get medical advice and more through your smartphone. The App now has a new feature that allows people to view and change their electronic prescription service (EPS) pharmacy nomination.
Being able to choose a pharmacy that is right for you via the NHS App means you can receive prescriptions close to your home. This is particularly helpful during the COVID-19 lockdown. People can also choose a pharmacy that can deliver their medicines, helping to reduce unnecessary travel.
Nominating a pharmacy in the NHS App removes the need to collect prescriptions from GP practices and drop them off at a pharmacy, supporting the public to observe social distancing.
To nominate an online-only pharmacy, people must register with the pharmacy through their website or contact them directly.
