We are delighted to share news of the GP Care Group’s Open Doors Nursing development programme’s recent graduates, who completed their training this month.
The Congratulations to Grace Odushola, Jade Branch, and Alice Walton who have completed the two-year programme whilst in their placement at St Andrews, XX Place and Docklands practices. A celebratory dinner was hosted last week to recognise their achievement.
The programme supports mainly new to General Practice Nurses to undertake a funded development programme which consists of the PG certificate in Primary Care Nursing and local support through mentorship, supervision and actional learning sets. Over 65 nurses have now competed training on this prestigious programme in last 14 years, which has excellent retention rates, with the Nurses staying local working in Tower Hamlets’ primary care. Three Nurses are due to commence their year two of the programme, and another five nurses will be commencing training next month.
