Tower Hamlets Council has launched a COVID-19 community champions programme and they are looking for people to join the network.
The programme has been established to empower and support Tower Hamlets residents to stay up to date with the latest advice about COVID-19. With cases of COVID-19 rising in Tower Hamlets, a trend we are seeing across London and nationally, making sure our communities have access to the latest information is critical.
COVID-19 champions sign up to receive regular and up to date information from the council on COVID-19 in their preferred way - such as email, WhatsApp or by joining virtual webinars. They then help their family, friends and the wider community make sense of advice and information about COVID-19, to help ensure everyone can stay safe and alert to the risks of the virus.
Whether the question is what are the symptoms of COVID-19, how do I book a test, what is NHS Test and Trace or how vulnerable individuals can access support, champions will be able to answer the question.
