It’s not too late to get a flu vaccine if you are vulnerable

Keep well and catch up on your flu vaccine to protect your health.

Posted on: 27 February 2025

Vaccines help protect us before we’re infected so that our bodies can better fight off infection. Flu cases are still very high as we come to the end of this winter season. There’s still time to take action and keep yourself well for the year ahead.

Who can get a free flu vaccine?

  • People aged 65 or over
  • People with certain long-term health conditions
  • Pregnant women
  • People who live in a care home
  • People who are the main carer for an older or disabled person, or receive a carer’s allowance
  • People who live with someone who has a weakened immune system
  • Frontline health and social care workers can also get a flu vaccine through their employer.
