The Tower Network Primary Care Network (PCN) recently hosted a recognition awards dinner to honour the achievements of its six practices and celebrate network colleagues’ exceptional efforts.
A PCN is a group of GP practices that have aligned themselves with other health and social care staff and organisations to provide integrated services to their local population.
In Tower Hamlets we have seven Primary Care Networks. These networks bring together general practices, community services, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring a more coordinated and patient-centric approach to healthcare delivery in our borough.
The event marked the third anniversary of the merger of networks three and four to become Tower Network PCN or Network nine. The evening was attended by approximately 60 people, reflecting the values, unity, and progress of the PCN.
PCN Managing Director Yash Rangineni, highlighted the network’s accomplishments over the past year, including achieving 17 out of 20 Local Enhanced Service key performance indicators (KPIs). This secured second place in the borough. Special recognition was given to Wapping Practice, which achieved an impressive 19 KPIs, followed by Goodman’s Field Health Centre and Saint Katherine Docks practices.
Yash praised the successful launch of various initiatives. These include Communities Keeping Well and the Same Day Access Pilot, a collaboration with Network 2. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the board members for their support and dedication to shared goals and values. He commended the transformation in the working relationships among practices, characterised by mutual respect and collaboration. Clinical Directors Dr Ben Dougall and Dr Gosia Farrelly celebrated the team’s dedication and hard work.
The evening also included awards for clinical and non-clinical staff, recognising their outstanding contributions to the network’s success.
