St Stephen's Health Centre in Tower Hamlets held a green event to mark Clean Air Day on 15 June.
Over the last couple of years, St Stephen's Health Centre has transformed William Place in Bow, into a green, happy, community space on Clean Air Day, and this year was no exception.
With council permission, the space, which is normally used as a car park, became a buzzing hive of activity on 15 June.
There were stalls with information about clean air and the opportunity for people to make pledges. Bikeworks were offering free rides in their cycle taxi which offers a service designed for people with health conditions and cycle sisters were there to talk about their work. A knitting project which is designed to show air quality data called 'Knitting the Air' was demonstrated. There was also a chance for people to come and discuss their asthma and air quality.
The day was a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together and have a chat in the clean air!
