Tower Hamlets GP Care Group (the Organisation) is committed to the protection and safeguarding of all who use their services including vulnerable adults, children and young people. The Organisation ensures that the outcomes for service users are improved by having robust safeguarding arrangements in place, multi-agency working and ensures that the voices of children and vulnerable adults are heard.

The Director of Quality & Assurance ensures that the organisation fulfils its corporate responsibility and continues to provide direction in relation to safeguarding. The governance arrangements ensure that safeguarding functions are scrutinised by appropriate Directors in sub-committees, where monthly reports are critically reviewed and challenged.
The Board of Directors receive monthly reports for scrutiny and assurance.
The Care Group is a member of the Locality Safeguarding Partnership and actively participates in subgroups and panels.
An audit programme provides assurance that safeguarding systems and processes are in place and are working. This include multi agency audits with partner agencies.
Safeguarding arrangements are continuously reviewed in order to ensure safe and consistent practice, and to respond to changes in local and national guidance.
