The team:
- Facilitate conversations about vaccines, infant feeding or starting solids .
- Deliver immunisations to underrepresented demographic groups in Family Hubs/ GP surgeries with the aim of providing additional contact opportunities to develop trusted relationships in the early months. This aims to identify emerging issues and provide holistic family support earlier and provides skills development opportunities to improve staff retention.
- Undertake home visits for marginalised communities under clinical supervision of a specialist Health Visitor.
- Utilise immunisation contacts to employ a Make Every Contact Count approach to provide infant feeding support, starting solids low-level perinatal mental health support and mental health first aid – and link to social prescribing.
